How do I sell my art online?
Mini Gallery makes it easy, inexpensive and accessible for artists to display and sell art online. Each Mini Gallery artist deals with his or her own enquiries, commissions and sales as we are completely commission free.
With a growing trend towards the use of the Internet for information and shopping it is the ideal place for artists to promote their art. Mini Gallery artists have had sales and commissions within the UK and around the world.
How to offer your art for sale online and enable a buyer to pay
Basket icon Once you have indicated in your Mini Gallery admin area that a piece of art is for sale online the shopping basket icon above will be shown next to the image on the website. The customer clicks this to proceed to placing an order for the artwork.
Then they either opt to buy art online using PayPal or placing an offline order.
Paying securely online by credit / debit card
If you have a PayPal account and have indicated in your Mini Gallery admin area that you want to offer online shopping the customer will be able to pay you straight away online using a credit or debit card and will make the payment through the secure online payment basket provided by PayPal. PayPal is an online payments service provider, please see www.paypal.com for further information.
The art buyer selects the delivery option of his or her choice and then clicks ‘add to my basket’ which goes to the PayPal website. It is possible to see that the page is secure as it will have a padlock (normally at the bottom right hand side of the window) and the URL of the website address will begin with https://www. rather than http://www.
Mini Gallery and the artists featured do not have access to any credit / debit card details.

Paying by cheque
If you do not have a PayPal account or one or other party prefers not to use an online payment process the art buyer can still place the order and pay by other means such as a cheque as stated in the artist’s shopping terms.
Additionally, an artist may have an alternative means of payment to offer such as WorldPay or Nochex and you can make your own individual arrangements.
Shopping terms and privacy statements
Mini Gallery provides standard shopping terms and privacy statements as part of our artists’ membership benefits and each artist personalises the set text with their own individual contact details etc. You can view and print the terms and privacy statement by clicking on ‘Shopping’ within the individual Mini Gallery concerned. There are further links to view and print them beside the ‘add to basket’ and ‘place order’ buttons.
