Are you looking for a special birthday present, anniversary treat, wedding gift or retirement memento? On these pages you will find examples of portraiture which has previously been completed by the artists. As in many cases a sitting is not practical portrait painters usually need at least one good clear photograph to work from or sometimes a few different ones to get a good likeness of the person or people. The artist will normally request that a deposit be paid prior to commencing work with the balance payable upon completion. Depending on how the individual artist likes to work you can be kept informed easily by email of the progress if you wish or the artist will be able to keep it as a surprise until the finished result is ready.

Portraits can be commissioned in the size and media of your choice, oil, acrylic, watercolour, pencil, charcoal, photography, pastel, coloured pencil for example and it may be possible for more than one subject to be combined into one group portrait. You might like to include all your family or a group of friends or colleagues or maybe also a pet. Portrait artists will attempt to accommodate any special or unusual requests.
