Artist's Biography

Where shall I start? Hated school, left without any exams and worked with horses. Best of those years were the ones schooling polo ponies in France and Argentina. Interspersed with all that, in no particular order, I had various careers in New York, Italy, Algeria and London. I backpacked in East Africa and climbed Kilimanjaro; spent several years in East Anglia; became a group instructor with Riding for the Disabled; went to university as a very mature student, achieved 2 degrees and now lecture in computing. Phew, what else can I tell you? Oh, forgot to mention that I enjoy renovating houses, lots of DIY, gardening and web site design. After all that activity in my youth my challenges in my dotage are riding holidays 3 or 4 times a year. So far have ridden in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Costa Rica, Argentina and India. In December I rode in Argentina, Chile and Mexico for a few weeks and at Easter will return to Portugal. "So", I hear you cry, "when do you get time to paint?" When the muse comes upon me everything else goes on the back burner and paint or pencil takes over...
At the moment have a few of pieces of work in progress on the kitchen table - watch this space and I will put them in my mini gallery when they're done.
