Here in this room are my latest creations, all created in the past few months. All that you see is very current with some of my romantic semi-abstracts, and modern tree paintings which are a big passion at the moment. I try to get work in this room within a week or two of it being finished so it really is hot off the easel!

As a follow up to my "Colour My World Series" are my new series of Trees. Strong, colourful images that celebrate the beautiful shapes and colours of nature's wonderful trees. So many surround us every day and their true beauty is so often taken for granted and even ignored. This is my own little appreciation corner for Trees.

Romantic paintings all about love. Some are figurative paintings of lovers, others abstract & semi-abstract pieces that portray feelings and send love. One of my favourite subjects to paint about!

Many of the portrait paintings in this room have been created with a much more limited palette some with just Black & White paint. In contrast to my "Emotions - Today's Woman" Portraits some of these may have just a splash of colour, but very little, others are simply in monochrome. My more recent portraits are amongst the paintings in this room. Very contemporary images, with more detail than my earlier more graphic portraits & some interesting styles.

Modern graphic Portraits of "Today's Woman". Always bold colour, often the sexy confident look, and frequently strands of hair often falling over the eye. Strong and striking images which are unlikely to go unnoticed! This has been a very popular series over the past couple of years and I now have prints available of many of those shown here.

**New (Oct/Nov/Dec 2008) is my Semi-Abstract Series called "Colour My World" (see statement below) Inspired by my long country walks this year and how the seasons change & bring colour to my own world. Influenced also by my love of Stained Glass and the work of Louis Comfort Tiffany. The first 11 in this series are reserved for an exhibition tour (currently at Bournemouth) however, these pieces are may still be available for sale so please contact me if you are interested in one of the reserved pieces**

My Art Nouveau Inspired Room is a reflection of my love of all things from this period in history. I love the wonderfully swirling shapes and the real feel of softness & decadance to designs from this era. My favourite artists from this period are Alphonse Mucha, Gustav Klimt and Louis Comfort Tiffany.

Below is My Personal Statement for the "Colour My World" Series;

Hot yellow warms my face
A cool blue dances through my hair
Through gently swaying gold I stroll.
Shades of green lay out before me
Soon to be cloaked in rusty red and brown
Followed by a sparkling crispy white.
I feel lifted, strong and alive again
And I know these are just a hint of the colours in my world.

In this series of work I am exploring how the ever changing seasons colour my own world. Using the stark contrast of both subtle and bold colour, along with shapes and flowing lines to create my visions. I have taken inspiration from the soft, swirling shapes reminiscent of designs of the Art Nouveau movement, one of my favourite periods in history. The colours used in the beautiful stained glass work by Louis Comfort Tiffany were also an influence in creating my paintings.

Colours fill my world, and in nature and our surroundings this becomes more evident to me throughout the changing seasons. However, I believe that colours fill us not only on a visual level but on an emotional level too, we don’t just see colours but we also feel them and express them. I hope my creations bring colour to your world too.

A series of contemporary abstracts inspired by fluids and their movement. All on deep edged box canvasses ready to hang in a range of colours these are my latest abstract paintings. I started out simply looking at water and rivers and such, but now I look at all kinds of fluids and the different ways in which they move! I have lots of inspiration for more in this series, so do keep a look out!

A selection of floral paintings painted in a semi-abstract style, created with layers of thick paint laid with palette knives. Some are on deep edge canvasses, others are mounted and framed. Also some limited edition prints available.

All have texture, and the lovely delicate lacy flower heads which contrast greatly with the thickly laid background and textured stems. Also lovely contrasting darks and lights.

A selection of my photographs, mostly taken with digital camera, some with my old SLR 35mm film camera. Most of the images have been manipulated digitally in Photoshop to come up with the end result. Printed in giclee inks on high quality museum grade paper, signed, mounted, wrapped in cellophane and comes complete with a certificate of authenticity.

These are very small editions of giclee prints on high quality paper and they come signed by the artist, mounted & wrapped in cellophane bags. Certificates of Authenticity come with all prints.
