Rosie is a recent addition to the "Today's Woman" series and a follow up to Lillie from earlier this year. An original painting in acrylic on a deep edged box canvas, with all sides painted and ready to hang (signed at the side). Rosie is created on a brown background from lots of deep reds, pink and metallic gold in her hair and this catches the light from some angles and glistens beautifully adding interest to the painting. All outlining is in dark brown instead of my usual black. The graphic style roses also have suble tinges of iredescent on the lighter parts of the petals. A rich, warm painting of a beautiful woman in one of my most popular styles of painting.
