About My Art

I have had a 4-year formal training in fine art with Trevor Waugh. I have also attended various workshops and courses with other well known artists. My professional career started in 2005 and have had various exhibitions locally and nationally, Majorca and Malota. My work is mostly in oil and of a realistic and impressionistic style. I enjoy painting "en plein air" when the weather is clement otherwise I do a lot of sketching and take photographs wherever I go. I paint whenever I can and work most days in my studio at home. This gives me immediate access when I want to paint - even in the early hours.
I do commission work particularly of pets and family portraits and more recently of a combination of people and their homes. I can also paint still life which reflects the lifestyle and character of the person. This is a particularly good way of painting someone's life who has perhaps retired or for a special occasion.
I am looking to expand my horizons for placing my work in galleries nationally and in different countries round the world.
