I am a self-taught artist whose work is held in several collections internationally. I work from my own photographs and sketches of animals in the wild or in zoos. I believe strongly in education having worked in schools and am completing an open university science degree to further my knowledge of the natural world, ecosystems, geography and conservation.
My paintings are intensively researched to ensure the resulting painting is as close to the scene in the wild as possible.
This year I am working with wildlife parks and zoos to promote their animals and will be displaying paintings. Details to follow.
I live in a rural location in the Thames estuary, near several bird reserves, and am a member of wildlife organisations. I travel frequently to the continent to Switzerland and around the British Isles to gain wildlife shots and background material.
