About My Art
The work I have created takes inspiration from my exotic travels and everyday life,as well as great artists such as Matisse, and Joan Miro, who I admire for their use of colour and mark making, the freedom and energy of their work is something I try to emulate and capture within my own style. I don't want my art to be laboured, I strive to gain fluidity and capture movement and my aim is to give my characters a life, true individuality and a presence of their own, to express this spontaneity I choose to work with my favourite mediums ink and gouache paints, using layers of colour and working back into the painting with vigorous quick strokes to vary the mark making and excite the imagery giving lines of suggestion and a paintly feel ,my style is rewarded with a busy flow of ink and in return my art bursts with vibrant life enhancing colours which alter mood and eager laughter is created.
Each picture in my range allows a story of imaginative delight to be conjured up ,my use of colour transforms my imagery I relate a lot to humour and use this throughout my work something that makes you smile ,laugh. If I can amuse people of all ages with my art and bring joy, and pleasure to their lives visually with my characters, stimulating senses to fulfil happy thoughts.
All my picture are available as high quality giclee prints, and would make ideal gifts, or individual keepsakes, my art I see is an accompaniment to your life alongside all other possessions which bring joy.

'Don't Blame Me' two little dogs looking innocent in the aftermath of vases and flowers that have taken a tumble.
'The Winner is' inspired by Crufts the pampered pooches who wait for their moment of glory at the show.
'Too Much Temptation' a fat cat who really wants that cake and wants it now!.
'Path To Delhi' inspired by my travels the exotic colours in India and the character of the happy elephant.
'Wishful Thinking' The free spirited and happy Zebra.
