Interview with the artist

What is your favourite media and why?
I love painting, but I also love all the endless possibilities available digitally.

Which is your favourite art gallery and why?
The Elm Lester Painting Rooms in London. They always have some of the best street artists exhibiting their work there. Seeing all these different street artists' works in the same room together is very powerful and inspiring.

What do you like best about being an artist?
The freedom of expression and the lack of rules in art.

When did you first start?
I remember painting a vase and flowers at school when I was 5 years old. The teachers liked it so much they framed it and put it up in the school corridor. I guess I never looked back!

Are you messy or neat when you work?
Very messy!! :)

If you could pick just three colours to work with what would they be?
Red, black and blue.

OR

Yellow, purple and pink. Depending on what mood i'm in!

If you could travel back which point in art history would you like to visit?
Surrealist movement, I'd love to have met Dali! What a genius.

How would you define Art?
Undefinable as it describes so much. I guess above all I would say it describes a form of visual self-expression plus many others things.

Which artist, past or present, would you like to study under or collaborate with
DALI! :) Also love Jackson Pollock, as well Arabic and Persian calligraphers and artists such as Shirin Neshat and Zenderoudi.

How long does it usually take you to complete an artwork?
Anything between 1 week to 6 months. Sometimes I leave pieces and work on other ones, coming back to them in a few weeks or months time.
