Robin Rowling
Artist's Biography
My lifelong passion for "the great outdoors" and, in latter years, North Cornwall, in particular, integrates ideally with my interest in the photographic image which started as a serious hobby in my early schooldays.
This combination of interests has led me along various artistic avenues, including a successful application for Associate Membership of the Royal Photographic Society. The theme of my presentation to the Royal Photographic Society was a pictorial journey along the magnificent coastline of North Cornwall. Also, with a North Cornwall theme, I was very pleased to win the BBC "Countryfile Photo 2000" award.
Images from both of the aforementioned submissions have subsequently been displayed to promote the area by The National Trust, Cornwall County Council, North Cornwall Heritage Coast Services, and Ordnance Survey. Other images from my extensive library have been used by www.atlantic-heritage-coast.co.uk ,
English Heritage, leading tourism web sites and other organisations promoting the South West.
I am currently working towards a Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society, and continue to enjoy success in regional and national photographic competitions.
