Robin Rowling
A brief insight into my work: My discipline is to capture the very essence of specifically selected locations. Each location is studied to ascertain the best use of creative light, and at what time of day and season of the year it is at its best. In coastal locations, the movement of the tide and prevailing atmospheric conditions must be considered in some detail, in order to obtain the desired atmospheric and artistic result. Much of my completed work deliberately moves away from the optically reproduced image, using the versatility and subtle production processes allowed by the giclee printing method. Fine quality art canvas and heavy water colour papers are used; the surface structure of both materials considerably enhances the desired artistic finish. Enjoy, Robin Rowling A.R.P.S.
