Artist's Description

Painted with watercolour onto archival canvas on board, this traditional style painting shows a young country girl making her way down a woodland lane hefting a large bundle of wood cuttings on her back. There is a large amount of detail in this piece in which I have tried to capture the effect of an old oil painting, but using this modern surface which allows the techniques of watercolour to be used. It has been sealed and can be framed and hung as you would an ordinary canvas, although framing behind glass is recommended.
