Introduction from the artist
At a recent exhibition, yet again people asked me, "Who wrote the poem you've used with this picture?" I cannot stress enough that the poems are mine.

For every picture I paint I compose a poem. For every poem I pen, I paint a picture. My poetry is as meaningful to me as my art. Painting and poetry is my art. My paintings and poems are synonymous.

Either the themes and moods of my paintings inspire my poems, or my poems inspire my brush strokes.

So how best can I share my art and verse?

I consider it very important that you understand clearly what you will receive when ordering any of my works.

I do not sell my original paintings because they form a fusion with my poems. So I personally produce archival quality, artistically enhanced Giclee prints combining my pictures and poems.

Also, as a close friend and fellow artist put it, "Whoever heard of limited edition poetry?" So rather than limited editions, I create and hand sign as many numbered Giclee prints of my works as are requested.

In addition, I issue an Authentication Certificate with each print describing the essence of my inspiration.

To see the options available and precisely what you will receive when you order my prints, please spend a few moments perusing "About My Art".

A few words about myself. Home is in Lemsford, Hertfordshire, but I treasured my youth in Kent where I began painting under the watchful eye of my grand old octogenarian mentor, Frederick C Dickinson R.A.

Whether painting landscapes, seascapes, wildlife or portraits in oils, acrylics or water colours, I have always followed his advice never to be pressured into any particular method but always to stick to my own style and vibrant use of colours. This stood me in good stead when I developed my passion for art and verse.
