Mary Tully
Artist's Biography

I studied Art at school and remember the excitement of winning a bronze medal in an Art competion at Kelvinside Gallery and Museum, Glasgow. My painting hung in the gallery for several weeks.
I continued painting from time to time while my children were growing up and I attended art classes and courses in painting and drawing including a summer school at Leith School of Art.
I currently teach Modern Languages and paint in my free time. I have created artwork for friends and family and enjoy providing them with something that is unique.
A few years ago I started exhibiting my work which has proved to be very successful. I have sold several pieces not only in Scotland but also in Spain, Abu Dhabi and Ireland. I have also done a number of commissions which gives me the opportunity to create something personal.
The Kingdom Magazine recently did an editorial on me which gave me the chance to talk about my work. It was very exciting. It gives me such a great thrill when I receive a call from someone telling me how much pleasure they are getting out of my work.
