This painting has been commissioned for St Thomas church Coventry, as part of the Centenary celebration beginning Sept. 2008.
The church has a mixture of red heather brickwork. topped by a tall spire of pale grey.
The beautiful Horse chestnut, which is in the grounds of the church, helped to influence the colours and season for the picture.
With browns, gold's, reds, and violets, the tree was given a mantel of Autumn leaves, these same colours were also added to the sky to enhance and illuminate the spire.
Which helped to give a warm and inviting glow to entire work.
