Artist's Description

The female form comes in different shapes and sizes; and with the onset of a pregnancy it transforms the whole body, not just the tummy but the breasts as well.
Women throughout the ages have lamented their shapes and tried to diet often to no avail.
And yet Rubens portrayed woman with a luscious and curvaceous figure, unfortunately nowadays size 0 seems to be preferred
This painting was born out of a painting I had started which had soft curves of creamy white petals, but, I was inspired to turn it instead into the human form
