'Escape' was inspired by the wonderful autumn landscape around the Hole of Horcum near Pickering North Yorkshire. This is one of my favorite parts of the North York Moors National Park and the feeling of total freedom here is amazing! With the magic of paint I have 'crushed down' the wire stock fencing to allow the viewer entry right into the landscape. It is painted in oils on a deep sided box stretcher, fully painted around all sides making framing completely unnecessary.
