Artist's Description

This seascape is painted with acrylic on canvas. I build up the layers of the picture over a period of weeks and sometimes months. Having started with watercolour but then switching to acrylic I use a mixture of techniques including washes, blending and scraping, sometimes with a pallette knife, brush or fingers. This paintings is on deep edge box canvas ready to hang (d-rings and chord attached).

Inspiration comes from Cardigan Bay, especially the coast of Merioneth, around the Tywyn area. This beautiful and often barren coast is a forgotten treasure and I visit regularly.
