Flowers and Butterflies
I found the wild flowers of the Outer Hebrides, like dozens of bunches of Primroses off cliff faces were wonderful, but in Sutherland they were the most exciting and colourful I had ever seen. Clovers, were particularly huge and purple, thistles were also very beautiful. But the machair on the Uists was something I had never seen anything like before. The butterflies and dragonflies are something else, very enchanting and magical to see, in an abundance. They flit about the valleys and streams in there plentiful. Hope you enjoy these paintings!
