Artist's Biography
I was born in 1960 in Woking, Surrey but have spent most of my life living in Sussex on the South Coast of England. Although, I studied art at college, I am primarily self taught and have been painting in my spare time for as long as I can remember. Art is my passion and still find that I am most content when I am sitting in front of a canvas creating something original and eye catching. Whilst spending several years working in the Middle East, I finally found the spare time to paint on a regular basis and started to exhibit my work in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai. As time passed, I was soon being asked for commissions and started to sell my art to both UAE locals and expatriates from the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Canada and Australia to name but a few. My unique artwork was also purchased by several interior designers who supplied art for many of the spectacular show homes and penthouse apartments now for sale in Dubai. I get my inspiration from a variety of sources and places that I have visited around the world, especially Africa, Thailand, Goa and Spain. I have always been fascinated by the colours created by nature and can sit for hours watching the colours and light change as the sun sets over golden sand dunes or the turquiose blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Since moving back to the UK I have continued to paint and decided that Mini Gallery was a great place to showcase my art.
